The Robert Browne Foundation was set up in 2013 under the guidance of Charles Micklewright. In 2003 Charles purchased Lilford Hall and took on the huge task of restoring the Grade I listed stately home set in 350 acres of English countryside. Research into his home led him on a ten year journey which has uncovered some astonishing secrets about the 500 year old estate and it's most famous occupant - Robert Browne. Realising that Robert Browne was so fundamentally important in US history and yet virtually unknown, inspired Charles to form The Robert Browne Foundation in order that others can share in this amazing story and that Robert Browne finally gets the recognition in history he fully deserves.
