Browne's Church

The Church once right at the heart of the Lilford Estate, situated next to the home of President Quincy Adam's ancestors, and used by Browne for his "schism baptisms" was demolished in the late 18th Century.  The remains of what was once a grand architectural structure now sit on the edge of the estate, next to Achurch, where Browne carried out his official ministry.

Our aim is to make this special place accessible to visitors and provide simple facilities which do not detract from it's natural ruinous condition.  We hope to create a place for reflection or outdoor worship in this hidden beauty spot.
